A shofar is an ancient horn made of ram's horn, used for Jewish religious and liturgical purposes. The shofar is blown in Jewish and Messianic services on Rosh Hashanah and at the very end of Yom Kippur, and is also blown every weekday morning in the month of Elul before Rosh Hashanah. This shofar ranges in size from about 17" to 18" and makes a great, rich sound. (Note: shofars are measured along the curve of the horn.)
